Ms. Zhang has gained experience in both the United States and overseas. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English, Ms. Zhang's dual language skills and international experience enable her to be a valuable contributor to her clients.
Ms. Zhang's U.S. experience stems from her roles as a law clerk and a judicial intern. During the summer of 2005, she worked at the Treasury Department of the Attorney General's office as a law clerk. Her responsibilities included providing support to the Department of Revenue, and researching and drafting briefs and memoranda on emerging legal issues. From 2005 to 2006, Ms. Zhang worked in the Civil Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey. As a judicial intern, Ms. Zhang assisted in researching and resolving disputed legal issues. She also researched, reviewed and summarized briefs, motions, and evidence.
Ms. Zhang's overseas experience stems from her time as an intern in China. During the summer of 2004, she worked as an intern at the China Foreign Economics Law Office, where she researched Chinese commercial and maritime law, and prepared office memoranda and briefs in Chinese and English. As a judicial intern at the Intermediate People's Court of China, she reviewed pleadings, interviewed litigants and witnesses for the initial gathering of evidence, and coordinated pre-trial mediation and settlement negotiation proceedings.
Aside from her legal experience, Ms. Zhang also has experience as a business analyst. From 2001 to 2003, Ms. Zhang worked as a business analyst at The Udinsky Group. She analyzed and assessed commercial damages involved in disputes, and produced economic reports for use in trial testimonies and depositions.
In addition to her work experience, Ms. Zhang has received various honors. She made the Dean's List as an undergraduate student and also as a law school student. Additionally, she was awarded the title of Best Oralist in the prestigious Vis International Moot competition while in law school.
